Kesäraketti

Lehdet alkaa olla puissa ja aurinko paistaa ja se tarkoittaa sitä että on kesä. Olin just uimassa aamutreenien jälkeen ja merivesi on jo yli 15 astetta ja lämpenee pikkuhiljaa. Tavallaan vähän haikeaa kun vesi ei enää viilennä kuten talvella mutta ehkä mä maltan tän pitkän kesän yli että meri taas jäähtyy ja pääsee avantoon ;) Ei kun oikeasti on tää aika ihanaa. Mikään ei ole yhtä kaunis kuin Suomen kesä. Ei se pisin mutta se kaunein. Kaikki herää eloon ja jokainen täällä pohjolassa ymmärtää nauttia näistä lämpimistä hetkistä kun niitä kerran on. Ja kohta alkaa festarit. Ai että. Mä en ole koskaan aikaisemmin kiertänyt suomen festareita ja tänä vuonna se tapahtuu. Ette usko kuinka aion nauttia. Mennä ihanalla porukalla mulle uusiin kaupunkeihin moottoripyörällä tai keikkabussilla keleistä riippuen ja hengitetään elämää ja musiikkia. Ihanaa jos tuutte katsomaan ja elämään kesäiltoja kimpassa <3
Vaikka albumi julkaistiin vasta viime syksynä, on tässä tapahtunut jo ihan hulluna kaikkea. On tehty upea klubikiertue, soitettu huikea keikka täydessä Helsingin Jäähallissa, houstattu UMK:ta ja viimeisimpänä mieletön ilta Helsingin musiikkitalossa jättimäisen orkesterin kanssa. Nyt edessä siintää kesä kaikkine ihanine festareineen ja on ihmeellistä miten hienosti tää Suomi-homma on lähtenyt liikkeelle. Vaikka tiesin ettei välttämättä ihan tyhjille saleille tarvitsisi soittaa, olen ollut häkeltynyt vastaanotosta. Kiitos ihana ihmiset <3
Kesän jälkeen me vedetään tällä poppoolla vain yksi keikka. Se tapahtuu Helsingin Vanhalla Ylioppilastalolla lauantaina syyskuun 9. päivä. Olen aina haaveillut keikasta Vanhalla koska se on niin upean kaunis sisältä (Googlatkaa se mesta) ja myös aivan keskellä mun rakasta Helsinkiä. Siellä laitetaan ilmoille kaikki biisit ja parhaat hetket "Pelastetaan Maailma" ajalta ja myös yksi raketti. Kuulette siitä myöhemmin lisää. Keikan jälkeen ei ole mitään keikkasuunnitelmia tulevaisuudessa. Ajattelin antaa virran viedä ja katsoa mitä syvältä sisältä tulee ja mihin suuntaan elämä pulppuaa. Aion tehdä toki paljon uutta musiikkia (ette pääse musta vielä - ei näin helpolla ;)
Mun ainoa selkeä tavoite loppuvuodeksi on musta vyö Mooye Taekwondossa ja jos homma menee maaliin, kiedon sen pukuni ympärille ennen kuin käyn joulupöytään. Kamppailu-urheilusta on tullut mulle elämäntapa ja se että saan harrastaa Taekwondoa ja Brasilialaista Jiujitsua 6-7 kertaa viikossa on aivan mieletön juttu. Olen etuoikeutettu. Olen oikeastaan unelmoinut koko ikäni jääkiekkovuosien jälkeen harrastuksesta joka veisi minut näin vahvasti mukanaan ja joka ei liittyisi musiikkiin millään tavalla. Hienoja uusia ystäviä, ehkä vähän jotain taitojakin, mutta ennen kaikkea inspiroivaa kuntoilua, hienoja hetkiä ja hyvää rytmiä arkeen.
Mutta nyt katseet kohti kesää joka huipentuu 9. syyskuuta Vanhalle Helsinkiin. Ei varsinaisesti harmita. Aurinkorasva ja -lasit, nyrkkeily- ja ajohanskat, kitarat ja muut check! Kohta mennään. Kesä -23 mä olen niin valmis!
Liput Vanhalle tulee myyntiin perjantaina klo 1000.

Summer Rocket
The trees are green and the sun is shining - The summer is here. I just had a dip in the sea after my morning workout and the sea water in Helsinki is already above 15 degrees. Rising slowly but steadily. In a way I miss the cooling effect when the sea temperature was closer to zero, but maybe I'll have patience to wait for next winter and the new ice holes ;) No seriously, this is so nice. I love the Finnish summer. It's short but beautiful. Everything and everyone wakes up and all folks living here in the north understand to enjoy every single summer moment when we have them. And soon we'll start the festival season. Nice nice. I have never toured the Finnish festivals and this year it finally happens. You have no idea how much I'm gonna enjoy them. We'll go to cities with our gang where I have never been before either with motorbikes or with our tour bus depending on the weather. Just inhaling this amazing life and music. It's so cool if some of you are coming too <3
Even though my first Finnish album was released only last year in October, lots of amazing things happened already. A club tour, a full Helsinki Ice Hockey Arena show, hosting the Finnish Eurovision's and in May we played an unforgettable night at the Helsinki Music House with a massive orchestra. And now the festival season can already be seen in the horizon and it's just amazing how well all this has gone since the album release. I kind of knew we wouldn't have to play these songs for empty rooms, but the amount of voices singing with us every night has overwhelmed me. Thank you dear people <3
After the summer festivals we will play only one show with this gang for now. It's gonna be at the Old Student House "Vanha" in Helsinki at September 9th. I've always dreamed of playing there as the place is so beautiful inside (just google it) and it's also in the very middle of my dear home town. That night we will fire away all the songs of this album journey and also one space rocket - more about that later. After this show, there are no touring plans in my calendar. I will let myself float for a while and I know that will arise new kinds of thoughts and songs and probably inspire me in new ways. So yes, I'll keep on writing songs (You won't get rid of me yet - not this easy ;)
My only clear goal for the winter is a black belt in Mooye Taekwondo and if all goes as in my master plan, I will tie it over my Dobok before I sit down at Christmas table. Martial arts has become a way of life to me and it's probably the best thing that ever happened to me personally since finding music inside my heart. I feel privileged being able to do Taekwondo and Brazilian Jujitsu 6-7 times a week. I've actually dreamed about finding a hobby that would take me on a journey like this ever since I quit playing ice hockey. And it's great that this hobby has nothing to do with music. It's a great getaway from choruses and from the Samu who sings his songs. I've made great new friends, maybe learned some skills too, but before all I've found an inspiring sport, great new people around me and some very good every day routines.
But now I'm gonna focus my thoughts and my heart on the summer shows and also to the last one in September at Vanha in Helsinki. Life could be worse. Sunscreen, shades, boxing and motorbike gloves, guitars etc. Ckeck! Let's go. Summer -23 I'm so damn ready!
